New Service Alert!
Email Automations
After months of development work we are pleased to announce the email automations service is now live.
Once set up this will save you hours of work each week, automatically sending task and Checklist Reminders, Joining Instructions, Event Reminders and Surveys.
Event Schedule (Automated Emails)
This system sends emails from Genius automatically based on schedules that you set for each event.
There are 3 emails based on each event, these are;
1) Joining Instructions – Genius will send joining instructions to all learners (or contacts) on each event automatically based on the schedule that you set. This schedule is based on a number of days BEFORE the event START date.
2) Reminder Email – Genius will send a Reminder email (includes the joining instruction info too) to all learners (or contacts) on each event automatically based on the schedule that you set. This schedule is based on a number of days BEFORE the event START date.
3) Survey Email – Genius will send a Survey invite email to all learners on each event automatically based on the schedule that you set. This schedule is based on a number of days AFTER the event END date.

Checklist and Task Reminder Automated Emails
Genius will now automatically send you and/or your trainers Task and Checklist reminder emails based on the reminder date of the Task or Checklist.
Outlook Calendar / Google Calendar integration
The Email which is sent to the trainer when you invite/assign them to an event now includes a link which adds the event to the trainers outlook calendar / google calendar.
Event Details Improvements
We have made several updates to the Event Details page;
1) Performance update and code optimization to ensure that this page loads much quicker. (reduced load time by 60%)
2) Trainer menu - Trainer search feature added to allow you to find trainers more easily.
3) Trainer menu - Changed the hard to read green highlight and check mark for ‘Qualified’ trainers to a Green badge. Similarly Trainers who are ‘Unavailable’ now have a red badge.
4) Trainer menu - Added ‘Message to Trainer’ field when you are removing an assigned trainer from an event.
5) Removing a trainer now removes their associated expenses and checklists from the event.
6) Re-ordered learners on the event, so ‘Name TBC’ are all listed at the top and are coloured orange to bring them to your attention.
7) Re-coloured the learner buttons, all learners names are now green (Name TBC are orange), the payment status of their order is now displayed on the order and invoice button. Green = paid and Red = unpaid.
8) You will now see a warning if you attempt to overbook and event when it’s full. You can choose to continue booking or stop booking.
Event List
We have added the ‘Company Name’ to Private events in the Event list page.
Diary & Trainer Planner
We have fixed a bug which made the Diary very slow at loading for some clients. This now loads in around 1 – 2 seconds so should be more useful.
We have added the hover facility which shows more details about each diary/trainer planner entry.
We have altered the 7 days view so it displays all 7 days without horizontal scrolling.
Company Details
We have redesigned the company details section, in particular the tabs across the company details page. This was done to display more information where you need it and to improve performance.
You will now find the contacts at the bottom of the page under the Company tab.
Accounts now has it’s own tab.
List of Companies Learners Courses
We have added a list of any of your companies learners and the courses they have sat as well as their qualification and expiry.
To use this new service go to any of your companies, click on ‘Learners Courses’ and you will see the list.
We have also added this to the Customer Platform so your customers can see the same data.
Customer Platform Improvements
We have added further updates to the Customer Platform to ‘White Label’ this and remove Genius branding.
This is to allow you to charge your customers for access to the Customer Platform if you so wish.
My Private Events (for your customers)
We have added the ability for you to share your customers Private Training events with them, even allowing them to book places on their own events too.
This is completely private to each customer, so they can only see their own ‘Private Events’ and they can only see them when you check the ‘Sell on Customer Platform’ box within the Event in Genius.
Please Note: This is only available to ‘Contacts’ from the company who you assign the Private Event to, Learners from this company cannot see this feature.
Trainer Planner (big improvement)
We have reinstated the Trainer Planner in the Trainers > Trainer Planner menu.
This has been completely redeveloped and loads within a second or two now, it also features a more details ‘mouse over’ view. So place your mouse over the event or task and see more details.
Trainers tasks and unavailability is also displayed on the trainer planner.
Bug Fix
